Prof M Ataharul Islam and Prof Md Farhad Hossain have been made chairman and vice chairman of the executive committee of Dhaka University Statistics Department Alumni Association (DUSDAA) in the first meeting of its trustee board recently, says a press release.
Other office-bearers are Md Lutfor Rahman -- secretary (communication and member services); Dr Jafar Ahmed Khan -- secretary (publication and research); Prof Syed Shahadat Hossain -- treasurer; and Prof Motasem Billah, Prof Majeda Shafiullah, Dr Abdur Razzak, Prof Amir Hossain and Monjur Ali Nantoo -- members.
Earlier in the last meeting of the convening committee, an ad hoc trustee board was formed with Prof Kazi Saleh Ahmed as its president, Simeen Mahmud as vice-president and SN Mitra as secretary.
The members of the trustee board include Prof SA Mallick, Prof M Nurul Islam, Mahboob Zaman, Riti Ibrahim, Prof S Hayat Khan, Prof MK Roy, Prof M Kabir, Waliul Islam and Prof M Ataharul Islam.
