The construction of a mausoleum on the grave of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in the adjacent area of the Central Mosque at Dhaka University will begin soon, says a press release.
The mausoleum will also cover the graves of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, Patua Kamrul Hasan and two former DU vice chancellors Prof Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury and Prof Abdul Matin Chowdhury.
The DU authorities yesterday handed the selected place over to the local government and district council authorities at a meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz.
Architect Mazharul Islam has drew the sketch map of the mausoleum that will cost Tk 1.51 crore. The construction is scheduled to be ended by December this year.
