Stocks decline in early trading

Stocks extended their decline for the third consecutive session today as investor sentiment remained subdued.
As of 11:02 am, the DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed 7.56 points, or 0.14 percent, to stand at 5,124.45.
Market participation appeared mixed, with 146 issues advancing, 139 declining, and 97 remaining unchanged.
Turnover stood at Tk 110.14 crore during the early trading hours.
Desh General Insurance Company led the gainers' list with a 10 percent rise, while Sonargaon Textiles fell the most, dropping 6 percent.
The CSE All Share Price Index edged down 7.95 points, or 0.05 percent, to 14,362.77.
