Renowned litterateur and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed and eminent architect Mainul Hossain received Sheltech Award 2007 at a ceremony at the National Press Club yesterday.
The award carries Tk 1,00,000 and a crest. Sheltech, a leading real estate company, introduced the award in 1998.
Litterateur Faridur Reza Sagar gave away the award to novelist Humayun Ahmed while Sheltech Chairman Kutubuddin Ahmed handed over the award to Mainul Hossain, architect of the National Memorial.
Receiving the award, Humayun Ahmed said, "I am delighted to receive the Sheltech award."
In his welcome speech, Managing Director of Sheltech Dr Taufique M Seraj said, "This is the 10th Sheltech award giving ceremony and Sheltech is honoured to award these two eminent personalities of the country."
