Nizami claims anti-liberation war forces issue settled

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami yesterday claimed that the issue of anti-liberation war forces was settled during the regime of late Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
So why this 'settled' issue is being raised after 37 years of Independence, asked Nizami, an alleged war criminal and chief of Al-Badr, while addressing a meeting of Ulema and Mashaikh in the city.
The meeting was organised by Ahkame Sariah Hefazat Committee (ASHC), a pro-Jamaat organisation, at the Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh at Kakrail.
Referring to chief adviser's recent comment on the trial of war criminals, Nizami said the CA has raised the issue in accordance with the guideline of an Indian think tank Hironmoy Karlekar.
He appealed to all Islamic organisations in the country to get united under one platform and not to talk against each other.
Nizami claimed that 1/11 was staged to resist advancement of Islamic forces in the country.
Several ASHC leaders at the meeting uttered derogatory remarks about Barrister Tania Amir for her recent comment on Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
They threatened Tania not to let her practice if she does not seek apology for her comment.
They also came down heavily on the civil society for, what they said, its efforts to destroy Islam.
Jamaat leaders Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, Abdus Subhan and Zainul Abedin also addressed the meeting.
