Dhallywood actors arrived at Sylhet to provide basic essentials for the flood victims. Actors such as Riaz, Symon Sadik, Nipun, and Jasmine provided dry food, portable water and cash to the victims via boat-trawler. This initiative was undertaken by Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association.

Actor Riaz has been providing basic necessities to over 500 families in Gowainghat, Lakhinagar areas since Wednesday morning.

Symon Sadik, co-general secretary of the association, said, "Right now, we need to stand beside the flood victims during this time. We came here because we wanted to help them in whatever way possible. All of us request everyone to stand by these helpless people during such difficult times.  "

"We felt that we had to stand beside them during such a catastrophic disaster.  At present, we will provide relief and cash to two and a half thousand families on behalf of the Film Artiste's Association," said actress Nipun.

While Riaz and Nipun have officially rushed to the field to provide essentials, actor Shakib Khan has sent funds to the flood victims, as he is not presently in the country. Noted actor Dipjol has already sent 10 trucks of food to Sylhet.

"Din-The Day" actor Ananta Jalil has allocated BDT 30 lakhs for the flood victims.
