A motorcyclist was killed after he was hit by a truck in Chaugacha upazila of Jashore district this evening.

The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 40, son of Helal Uddin of Shalkona village in Sharsha upazila of the district.

He lived in a rented house in Bakpara of Chaugacha town.

The accident happened in front of Divine Garments in the city.

Chaugachha Police Station OC Saiful Islam said Alamgir was hit by a speeding truck on his way home in the evening and died on the spot.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore General Hospital.

A case has been registered in this regard with Chaugacha police station.
