Durga Puja specials to watch on television

Due to the global ongoing pandemic, Durga Puja celebrations have been limited this year. Tomorrow marks the tenth day of Durga Puja. On this auspicious occasion, The Daily Star brings you a compilation of some of the finest television shows that will be aired on the top TV channels of the country.

Bishorjon

"Chonde Jaage Pran," the Durga Puja special dance show, will be aired at 5:30 pm on October 26 on Deepto TV. Under the direction of Kabirul Islam Ratan, the show will feature an array of performances by Sohel Rahman, Anika Rahman Shokh, Mondira Chakraborty, Mohona Mim and Nrittyalok Cultural Center artistes among other performers.

Honde Jaage Pran

"Bhoirobi," written by Shawon Koiri and directed by Gautam Koiri, will be aired today at 9:30 pm on NTV. The Durga Puja special tele-fiction features Manoj Kumar May Watanabe and Sharmili Ahmed among others in the lead roles.

Anima Roy's solo musical programme, "Nibedon," will be aired today at 10 pm on Channel i. She will be releasing four new songs along with music videos, marking the Durga Puja celebrations, on Channel i Digital and her official YouTube channel.

Durgotinashini Ma Durga

"Pujar Dine Gane Gane," another special live musical programme featuring Anima Roy, will be aired tomorrow at 3 pm on Ekushey TV.

A special episode of the musical programme, "Priyo Joto Gaan," will be aired today at 3:05 pm on Channel i. Directed by Ananya Ruma, the programme will feature six artistes. Izaz Khan Swapan is the executive director of the programme.

"Bishorjon," the Durga Puja special television show will be aired tomorrow at 11 pm on Boishakhi TV. Written and directed by Irani Biswas, the programme will feature Arman Parvez Murad, Naznin Chumki and Orchita Sporshia among others.

A special talk show, "Durgotinashini Ma Durga," will be aired tomorrow on BanglaVision at 5:25 pm. Produced by Subrata Dey and hosted by  Shwarnalata Debnath, Lion Chittaranjan Das, President, Shri Shri Barodeswari Kalimata Mandir O Shwaswan Porichalona Committee and Rotnendu Bhattacharya, a renowned expert on religion, will talk about the significance and theoretical aspects of  Bijoya Dashami.
