Explaining the jump in number of Covid-19 recovered patients in Bangladesh

The number of patients that have recovered from Covid-19 has jumped from 177 to 1,063 in just one day.

Why the sudden jump in number of recovered patients?

According to Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) the clinical management committee has set new guidelines on determining recovered patients.

Due to the new guidelines, which will also take into account patients who have recovered at home, the number may have risen.

Six hundred and sixty-five people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number of infections detected so far in the country.
