A case was lodged with Darussalam Police Station in Dhaka today over the attack on the motorcade of Dr Kamal Hossain on December 14.
Abu Bakar Shaju, a candidate from Jatiya Oikyafront from Dhaka-16 constituency, filed the case accusing 12 people in the early hours today, said Selim Uz Zaman, officer-in-charge of the Darussalam Police Station.

WHAT HAPPENED TO DR KAMAL?
Jatiya Oikyafront leader Dr Kamal Hossain's motorcade came under attack near the Martyred Intellectuals' Memorial in the capital's Mirpur on December 14.
At least 25 people were injured in the attack carried out allegedly by ruling party men around 9:45am when the eminent jurist was returning home after paying tribute to the martyred intellectuals, alleged leaders of the opposition alliance.
Dr Kamal, also president of the Gonoforum, was unhurt.
