BCL brutality

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling party, has a glorious past and we always remember their contribution in the many progressive movements of the country. But what they have done recently in many of our educational institutions is shameful and unacceptable. They have brutally attacked the activists of the quota reform movement, who were holding peaceful demonstrations. They have ruthlessly attacked Toriqul Islam, a student of Rajshahi University with a hammer and broken bones of his leg, that too in the presence of the law enforcers. After such barbarism, why are our leaders silent?
