Health Awareness Night in Farrer Park Hospital for Bangladeshi community
An exclusive Health Awareness Night was recently organised for the Bangladeshi community in Singapore, at One Farrer Hotel & Spa Ballroom, with Md Mustafizur Rahman, High Commissioner of People's Republic of Bangladesh in Singapore and Mohd. Shahiduzzaman, President of Bangladesh Business Chamber, Singapore as our Guests of Honor.
Among those present for the event were, key officials from Bangladesh High Commission, members of Bangladesh Business Chamber and members of Bangladesh Society.
Medical Specialists from Farrer Park Medical Centre were also on hand to share insights on various health issues. The topics ranged from "Advances in Stroke Management" by Dr Manish Taneja, "Exercise and Sudden Cardiac Arrest" by Dr Bernard Kwok, "Liver Cancer Prevention, Detection and Cure" by Dr Salleh Ibrahim to "Management of Neck & Back Pain and Complex Spinal Surgery" by Dr Mohammad Mashfiqul Arafin Siddiqui.
Beyond raising awareness in the highlighted health issues, this learning exchange allowed both the medical specialists and Bangladeshi counterparts to gain a holistic understanding of the diversity in practices and bond over the eventful session.
