Dr Hafiz G A Siddiqi, former Director of Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka passed away yesterday (May 22) in the capital after a protracted illness. His namaz-e-janaza will be held today at the Gulshan Society mosque after Zohr prayers.

Dr Siddiqi began his teaching career at IBA and taught there for 20 years in various capacities. He was the first academic Vice Chancellor at North South University and served there for over 19 years. At the time of passing, he was Professor Emeritus at BRAC University.

Dr Siddiqi authored 14 books and wrote regularly for popular dailies.
