Sarwar Ashfaque Ahmed Leon, a vice president of Dinajpur district Awami League (AL), passed away at a hospital in the district yesterday morning. He was 58. 

According to the family, Leon complained about chest pain early yesterday. He was rushed to Zia Heart Foundation in the district, where he breathed his last.

He was also the vice president of Dinajpur Rice Millers Association and a former vice president of Dinajpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He was buried at Lalbagh graveyard after the Asr prayers.
