At least six persons were killed and 12 injured in separate road accidents across the country yesterday. 

In Gopalganj, farmers Mahamudul Hasan Sheikh, 40, Mianul Sheikh, 41, Md Kamrul Islam Sheikh, 42, were killed when their truck overturned in Pathalia area on Dhaka-Khulna highway, police said.

Mahmudul and Mianul died on spot while Kamrul died on the way to the hospital. The injured were also admitted to local hospitals.  

In Sirajganj, two unidentified persons were killed on spot when a Dhaka-bound bus hit a three-wheeler at Ramarchar point on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway, reports our local correspondent.

The incident injured three persons, who have been admitted to local hospitals.

Meanwhile in Bagerhat, bus driver Rois Mollah, 40, was killed and at least 20 people were injured as a bus plunged into a ditch beside Khulna- Mawa highway, UNB reports.

Among the injured, the condition of five passengers was stated to be critical.
