China expressed its desire to work with Bangladesh to strengthen relations and jointly carry out the Belt and Road initiative.

On the occasion of the 48th Independence Day of Bangladesh, Chinese President Xi Jinping in a message yesterday congratulated President Abdul Hamid and said China-Bangladesh relations are on a good momentum.

 “I attach high importance to the development of China-Bangladesh relations, and will work together to strengthen the alignment of development strategies of our two countries”.

In a separate message to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang said China is willing to work together with Bangladesh to deepen the cooperation of mutual benefits.
