The Election Commission will announce schedules for the upcoming election to Gazipur and Khulna city corporations on March 31.

Helaluddin Ahmed, acting secretary of EC, made the announcement after a meeting at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital yesterday.

Tenure of Gazipur and Khulna mayors will end on September 4 and 25 respectively.

The election to KCC was held on June 15, 2013, while the maiden election to GCC on July 6, 2013.
