A house owner was shot by robbers in Poshuhatpara area of Meherpur town early yesterday.

Injured Sajal Hossain is now undergoing treatment at Kushtia Medical College Hospital.

Robiul Islam, officer-in-charge of Meherpur Sadar Police Station, said a gang of 6/7 stormed into the house of Sajal around 3:30am. The robbers asked the victim to open the door. 

On refusal, the gang opened fire, leaving Sajal seriously injured, and fled the scene.

Police are now raiding different areas to arrest the robbers, said the OC.
