The Detective Branch of Chittagong Metropolitan Police arrested four alleged robbers with two firearms and ammunitions in an eatery shop in Chittagong city's Andarkillah early yesterday.

Morshed alias Rashed, 24, Shahidul Islam Sowran, 21, Jahidul Islam Raju, 24, and Faijul Kabir Sujon, 35, were handed over to Kotwali police. Rashed already has two cases of robbery and murder against him, said police sources. They were preparing to commit robbery when law enforcers made the arrest and recovered a foreign pistol, one shutter gun, five cartridges and six bullets, police added. A case was lodged.
