Noted sculptor and freedom fighter Ferdousi Priyabhashini has been admitted to Labaid Hospital in the capital in a critical condition.

She was taken to the hospital yesterday afternoon from her Gulshan residence after she fell on the floor and hurt her leg on Tuesday night, said Saiful Islam Lenin, the hospital's assistant general manager (corporate communication).

The 70-year-old went into a shock while receiving treatment at the emergency and was shifted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), he added.
