A co-accused in the college girl Mala killing case gave confessional statement to police yesterday.

Following the confession by co-accused advocate Mainul Ahsan Biplob, police recovered two sharp weapons. They also seized Biplob's motorbike, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Amtali Police Station Md Shahid Ullah, also investigation officer of the case.

“We will send Biplob to the court on November 6 after completion of the five-day remand,” the OC said.

Biplob is owner of the house where Mala was killed allegedly by college teacher Alamgir Hossain Palash on October 24.

Earlier, the main accused Palash gave a confessional statement before the court on October 25.
