EID DELIGHTS ON THE SMALL SCREEN

All that hectic revelry during Eid can be quite exhausting. There's nothing quite like putting your tired feet up and taking in your favourite TV shows -- special TV plays, tele-films, musical performances, variety shows and much more.
Here's what's in store on the first three days:

ATN Bangla
TV series “Noshu Villain”
ATN Bangla will air six-episode TV series “Noshu Villain”. Scripted by Brindabon Das and directed by Sagor Jahan, the play will air from Eid day until the sixth day of Eid at 7:40pm. The cast includes Chanchal Chowdhury, AKM Hasan, Arfan Ahmed, Shokh, Tanzika, Shahnaz Khushi, Al Mamun, Jamil and more. The story zooms in on three married and lazy brothers Nowsher Ali, Shamsher Ali and Jamshed Ali who argue over who has the most beautiful wife. Similarly, their wives daily squabbles center on who is married to the most handsome brother.
TV play “Prem Boro Modhur”
On the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr, ATN Bangla is airing TV play titled “Prem Boro Modhur” at 8:50pm. Scripted by Mezbah Uddin Sumon and directed by Syed Shakil, the cast includes Tarin, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Pran Roy, Adiba and more. The comedic narrative surrounds a married couple of 14 years, whose happiness is slighted once the wife finds her husband overly annoying.
Channel i
Farmers' game show “Krishoker Eid Ananda”
Channel i is all geared up with its popular farmers' game show “Krishoker Eid Ananda”. Designed with various games and activities, the show was filmed on the bank of Padma in Louhajong, Munshiganj. Planned, directed and hosted by Shykh Seraj, the show focuses on colourful and nostalgic games – pillow passing, riding oily banana tree, cock fight and more. Besides, the programme will shed light on different heritage of Munshiganj district and reports on Padma Bridge and other topics. The show will be aired at 4:30pm on the second day of Eid.
Tele-film “Shey Somoye Tumi Ami”
Tele-film “Shey Somoye Tumi Ami” will air on the third day of Eid at 4:30pm. Written and directed by Mabrur Rashid Bannah, the cast of the tele-film includes Bidya Sinha Mim and Tahsan. The narrative follows a campus based-love story set in the '90s. Tahsan plays a student leader while Mim is a general student. Love between them happens at the cost of many things and the challenges to keep it up take the story forward.

Ekushey TV
Comedy miniseries “Mr. Sultan”
Ekushey Television will air seven-day Eid special drama serial called “Mr. Sultan”. The comedy series has been written by Ayon Chowdhury and directed by Sakhawat Manik, and stars Zahid Hasan, Farhana Mili, AKM Hasan, Swagata, Shamapty, Nazira Ahmed Mou, Pavel Islam and others. The serial will begin on Eid day and will continue for the rest of the week, at 7:25pm daily on Ekushey Television.
Chabial Eid Reunion series
Ekushey Television will play seven different plays for the seven days of Eid as a part the Chabial Eid Reunion. The episodes will air from Eid day to the seventh day at 9pm. Under the guidance of Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, the seven drama fictions will be directed by seven directors affiliated with the Chabial collective. Stars like Amjad Hossain, Dilara Zaman, Mahfuz Ahmed, Sumaiya Shimu, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Mithila, Safa Kabir, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Iresh Zaker and many others are in the cast of the episodes. The first three plays of the series are plays are “26 Din Matro” by Mostofa Kamal Raj, “Bikel Belar Pakhi” by Adnan Al Rajeev and “Chheleta Kintu Bhalo Chhilo” by Ashfaque Nipun.

Tele-film “The Painter”
Tele-film “The Painter” will air on Eid day at 2:20pm. Written by Shibu Kumar Shil and directed by Parvez Amin, the cast of the play includes Partha Barua, Koneenica Banerjee (India) and others. The story revolves around a famous artist who didn't paint for years. He leads a secluded life. On the other hand, Tonu, a newspaper journalist, is assigned with writing a series feature on him. The two meet on a rainy day and sit for an interview.
Solo Dance Recital “Chhonde Jage Pran”
Solo dance programme “Chhonde Jage Pran” will air at 9:05pm on the third day of Eid. Planned by choreographer Kabirul Islam Ratan, actor-dancer-model Bidya Sinha Mim has performed dances set on five popular adhunik songs. Zonaed Bin Zia has produced the programme.

Banglavision
TV series “Average Aslam Is Not A Bachelor”
Starting from Eid day to the 7th day of Eid, Banglavision will air a seven-episode series “Average Aslam Is Not A Bachelor” at 6:25pm daily. The story follows many humourous events circling wealthy youth Aslam's marriage. Mosharraf Karim, Shokh, Tania Ahmed, Golam Farida Chhonda, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Faruk Ahmed, Marjuk Russel, AKM Hasan and others are the cast.
Tele-film “Porinoti”
Tele-film “Porinoti” will air on Banglavision on the second day of Eid at 2:10pm. Written and directed by Imraul Rafat, the cast of the play includes Tahsan and Mehzabien. The story revolves around a love affair between Trina and Ziad. They get married with consents from both families and lead a happy life. Their happiness does last for long as Ziad starts losing his memories due to a major illness.

Desh TV
Live musical show “Shur Ar Gaan”
From the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr until the seventh day, Desh TV will air a special live musical programme titled “Shur Ar Gaan” at 3pm. Popular artistes will be featured as guests in every episode of the show, where viewers can tune in to watch performances of popular songs, as well as participate by calling in. On the first day, singers Champa Banik and Yusuf Khan will be present as guests.
TV play “Shunno Ghorer Chad”
On the day of Eid, Desh TV will air special single-episode TV play “Shunno Ghorer Chaad” at 7:35pm. Scripted and directed by Niyaz Nadvi, the main cast includes Iresh Zaker, Urmila Srabonti Kar, Jovan, Shamim Hasan Sarkar and more. The narrative surrounds an aspiring poet named Shafayat, who has a stubborn streak.

Single-epsiode comedy “Makhon Mia'r Adbhut Bou ta”
Written and directed by Shagor Jahan, “Makhon Mia'r Adbhut Bou ta” will air on the second day of Eid, at 8:35pm on RTV. It stars Zahid Hasan, Nusrat Imrose Tisha and others. The story is about Makhon Mia, who is a simple man; hate lies and every now and then loses his temper. Makhon Mia could not find any one to marry, until he met a particular woman.
Tele-film “Tor Kopale Dukkho Achhe”
Tele-film “Tor Kopale Dukkho Achhe”, written by Mezbah Uddin Sumon and directed by Taifur Jahan Ashiqur, stars Chanchal Chowdhury, Nadia and Fazlur Rahman Babu. The tele-film will air on the third day of Eid at 11:45pm on Rtv. Famer Zamir always comes face-to-face with very curious and awkward incidents in the tele-film. One day while harvesting, Zamir comes across a skull with a message inscribed, which startles him. After he brings the skull home, one strange incident after the other takes place in Zamir's life.

Maasranga Television
Celebrity Show “Star Night”
Celebrity show “Star Night” will air on Eid Day at 10:30pm. Hosted by Maria Nur, popular actor Ferdous is the featured star of the show. Ferdous recently completed 20 years of his career in film. The star will share his memorable happenings, experiences, turning point of his career and many unknown events of his personal life. His friends, relatives and colleagues will also speak of him. Ajoy Poddar has produced the show.
Single-episode TV Play “Margaret O Chondi Kathak”
Single-episode TV Play “Margaret O Chondi Kathak” will air on the third day of Eid at 9pm. Written by Doyal Saha and directed by MI Jewel, the cast of the play includes Mosharraf Karim and Brishti. The story revolves around Chondi, a gullible homeopathic doctor of a village. He falls in love with Margaret and decides to elope. Will Chondi meet an awaiting Margaret at night?

SATV
Celebrity game show “Sultana Bibiana”
SATV will be airing a celebrity game show called “Sultana Bibiana” on the first three days of Eid at 4:20pm, where they will bring in celebrities of different professions in show business. The host will informally interact with the celebrity guests and couples and find out more about their lives and successful relationships. Along with that, there will be some fun games for the guests.
Celebrity show “Cholona Ghure Ashi”
SATV will be celebrating Eid with four celebrities on a show titled “Cholona Ghure Ashi”. The host of the show, RJ Sayem, will spend the day with the celebrity through different activities – like going on a boat trip with one celebrity and on a long drive the next with another. Through these activities coupled with 'adda', the viewers will get to witness a different side of these celebrities and learn more about their work. The programme is produced by Ujjal Rahman and will air on the first four days of Eid, at 4:30pm.

Gtv
Tele-film “Megher Golpo”
On the third day of Eid ul Fitr, Gtv will air tele-film “Megher Golpo” at 11:50pm. Scripted by Tanin Rahman and directed by Mahmudur Rahman Himi, the cast includes Jon and Mamo in lead roles. The tele-film centres on a young man who befriends and begins talking to a girl online. Despite the distance, their bond strengthens over time. The girl, who lives in Sydney with family, decides to travel to Bangladesh for a week and meet the boy, much to his joy and excitement.
TV play “Bhalobeshechilo”
On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr festivities, Gtv is airing TV play “Bhalobeshechilo” at 9:30pm. Scripted by Masum Shahriar and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, the play includes Afsana Mimi, Siyam, Shaila Sabi and more as part of the main cast.

Boishakhi TV
Drama series “Brake Fail”
Boishakhi TV is airing seven episode drama series titled “Brake Fail” from the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr until the seventh day, at 6:15pm daily. Scripted and directed by Akash Ranjan, the story is conceptualised by Tipu Alam. Cast members include ATM Shamsuzzaman, Chitralekha Guha, Mir Sabbir, Rownak Hasan, Faruk Ahmed, Hasan Masud, and more.
TV play “Chor O Churi”
Mosharraf Karim is bringing a plethora of entertainment during the festival, and on the second day of Eid-ul Fitr, the actor will be playing the lead in “Chor O Churi” on Boishakhi TV. Directed and scripted by Ziaur Rahman Zia, additional cast members include Jui Karim, Rashed Mamun Apu, and more. The play will be aired at 8:45pm.
