NOAKHALI, Jan 16: JSD (Rab) has called for a 48-hour hartal in Ramgati thana from 6 am tomorrow demanding immediate release of its workers, reports UNB.

Police in a midnight drive on November 11, arrested 25 activists, including Chargazi UP chairman Mir Akhtar Hossin Bachhu, along with 300 arms and ammunition. They were arrested while preparing for taking possession of a char, police said.

Local JSD leaders said they were implicated in a 'false case'.

Their leader ASM Abdur Rab is a member of the cabinet holding the charge of the ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
