The Theatre and Film Department of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy have jointly organised a week-long film festival titled “Contemporary Film Exhibition 2013”. The event, inaugurated on September 2, is now on at International Cultural Archive at the National Theatre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Segunbagicha in the city.
On the opening day, Redoan Rony's “Chorabali” was screened. Giasuddin Selim's “Monpura” was screened on the second day of the festival. Besides, six contemporary Bangla films- “Amar Bondhu Rashed” by Morshedul Islam, “Runaway” by Tareque Masud, “Chaka” by Morshedul Islam, “Ghetu Putro Komola” by Humayun Ahmed and “Devdas” by Chashi Nazrul Islam will be screened.
The festival will continue till September 8.
