Journalist Mostak Ahmed passes away

Senior journalist Mostak Ahmed of the Daily Bhorer Dak died yesterday at the National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology (NIKDU). He was 58.

The former president of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) was suffering from heart and kidney diseases and was admitted to the hospital on August 31.

He left behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.

His body was taken to the Dhaka Reporters Unity and Jatiya Press Club in the afternoon.

A namaz-e-janaza was held on the DRU premises after Zohr prayers. Later his body was taken to his village home in Barisal.
