SOS Children's Villages empower 200 young entrepreneurs

Around two hundred underprivileged young entrepreneurs from Chattogram and Bogura have been empowered by SOS Children's Villages Bangladesh, allowing them to achieve economic self-reliance, said speakers at an event.

This accomplishment was highlighted at an event titled "Entrepreneurship and Basic Skills Training for 200 Youths in Bogura and Chattogram to Ensure a Sustainable Source of Income", at a city hotel today.

SOS Children's Villages Bangladesh Project Director Md Ashraf Hossain presented detailed information and data on the project's scope.

Md Enamul Haque, national director of SOS Children's Villages Bangladesh, said, "We are proud of the achievements of the participants and grateful for the support of the Bestseller Foundation. This project has not only empowered these youths, but has also brought positive changes to their families and communities."

Alif Rudaba, additional secretary of National Skills Development Authority, noted that the initiative demonstrates the transformative power of skill development and entrepreneurship.

"The success stories of these youths inspire us to continue our efforts in creating sustainable economic opportunities for all," she said.

Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, managing director of SME Foundation, emphasised the project's significant impact on the lives of the young participants.

"It highlights the importance of providing the right support and resources to nurture entrepreneurial talent and drive economic growth," he said.

In her closing remarks, Tahera Yasmin, chairperson of the Advisory Committee of SOS Children's Villages Bangladesh, expressed admiration for the youth participants.

"We are deeply inspired by their enthusiasm and dedication," she said.
