Moazzem Hossain has been relieved of his duties as the assistant private secretary (APS) to LGRD and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain.

A gazette notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration today.

It said the decision would come into effect from April 8. The order noted that the decision was made with the adviser's consent.

No explanation was given for his removal.

Moazzem was appointed to the role on August 14 last year.

His appointment letter had mentioned that his tenure would continue either for as long as Asif Mahmud remained in office or as long as the adviser wished to retain him.
