Four killed in road accidents

At least four persons were killed in road accidents in Dinajpur, Barishal and Chuadanga yesterday.
In Dinajpur, two people were killed, and several others injured in separate road accidents in Dinajpur Sadar upazila and Ghoraghat upazila.
The deceased are Sourab Hembram, 30, and Al-Amin, 55.
In Dinajpur Sadar, a passenger bus collided with a battery-run easy-bike at Chuniapara village on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional highway around 3:00pm, said Motiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Dinajpur Sadar Police Station.
The bus was on the way to Dhaka from Dinajpur when it hit the easy-bike, injuring three passengers. Locals rushed the injured to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared Sourab dead.
Police have seized the bus, the OC added.
In a separate incident, Al-Amin, a helper of a passenger bus, died after falling from the bus' rooftop while assisting a passenger to unload luggage at Raniganj Bazar in Ghoraghat upazila.
In Barishal, a motorcyclist died while his pillion was injured when their motorbike collided head-on with a bus in the Bhurghata area of Gournadi upazila, Barishal.
The deceased is Rifat Hossain, 38, said OC Aminur Rahman of Gournadi Highway Police Station.
Rifat died on the spot while the driver fled the scene.
In Chuadanga, a man was killed and another injured when a truck hit their motorbike in Alamdanga in the morning.
The deceased, Nishan Ali, 20, worked at a fish stall, said OC Masudur Rahman of Alamdanga Police Station.
The accident occurred near a bridge in Nawda village of Alamdanga.
The truck driver fled the scene with the vehicle, the OC said.
