CU admission tests from tomorrow

The admission tests for Chittagong University (CU) for the 2024–25 academic session is set to begin tomorrow (Saturday), with the entrance exam for the Science Faculty's "A" unit.
This year, approximately 89 candidates will compete for each seat in the "A" unit. As in previous years, the admission tests will be held simultaneously at the CU, Dhaka University, and Rajshahi University centres.
The university authorities have completed all necessary preparations for the admission test.
The "A" unit of CU's Science Faculty comprises four faculties: Science, Biological Science, Engineering, and Marine Science & Fisheries. A total of 1,09,081 students have applied for 1,215 seats in this unit.
For the entire admission process, CU's four units and two sub-units have a total of 4,926 seats, with 2,71,239 students applying. Last year, the number of applicants was 2,54,669.
The admission tests will conclude on March 24 with the "D-1" sub-unit exam.
Professor Sanaullah Chowdhury, dean of the Faculty of Engineering, stated, "We have successfully completed all preparations for the admission test. The vice-chancellor has instructed us to ensure a peaceful and orderly exam process."
