Bangladesh won’t suffer from food crisis due to Russia-Ukraine war: Momen

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has said Bangladesh will not suffer much due to the global pandemic coronavirus and the situation in Russia-Ukraine.

He said this while talking to reporters while inaugurating the renovation and four-lane work of Amberkhana-Tukerbazar road in the city during his visit to Sylhet this afternoon (October 7, 2022), reports our Sylhet correspondent.

"The government is trying to ensure food. Not even an inch of the country's land will remain uncultivated or vacant. If you can manage food, it is possible to manage anything else."

Momen, also an MP from Sylhet-1 constituency, said, "The World Bank says our GDP is very good. While the GDP of other countries of the world is like 3 percent, we have more than 6 percent. Bangladesh is always grounded in reality, so there is no reason to worry."
