Plane loses wheel mid-air: Biman forms probe body
Biman Bangladesh Airlines today formed a four-member probe body to investigate the incident of losing a wheel of its Dhaka-bound flight from Cox's Bazar.
The probe body headed by Capt Enamul Haque Talukder, chief of flight safety of Biman, was asked to submit its report within 15 working days, ABM Rawshan Kabir, general manager (public relations) of Biman, told The Daily Star.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Earlier in the day, a Biman flight landed safely in Dhaka despite losing a left wheel from its main landing gear shortly after take-off from Cox's Bazar.
The incident occurred moments after a a Dash 8 aircraft of Biman (BG 436) took off from Cox's Bazar Airport at 2:19pm, Rawshan Kabir said.
