ATN Bangla, one of the first satellite channels of the country, celebrates 16 years of successful broadcast today, as it steps into its 17th year of airing news and entertainment in Bangla to viewers worldwide. The channel has had an illustrious journey to be where it is today.
Of the achievements of the channel, the biggest is an Emmy Award in 2004 for a TV programme titled “Amrao Pari”. Apart from it, the channel has received numerous awards in the Asian region for its news and entertainment shows.
The channel has ventured into all aspects of television broadcast, starting from live broadcast from abroad, musical programmes with international stars, reality 'talent hunt' shows and broadcasting live sports, alongside TV plays, documentaries and talk shows.
ATN Bangla has also gained credibility among viewers as a news channel, broadcasting hourly news bulletins, alongside English bulletins. With the slogan “Obiram Bangla'r Mukh”, the channel looks set to continue to air unbiased news and quality entertainment to its audience.
