In a major reshuffle in police administration, a total of 69 officials including a deputy inspector general (DIG) have been transferred to different units and places.

The other officials include 18 additional deputy inspectors general (ADIG) and 50 superintendents of police, Qamrul Hasan, public relations officer at Police Headquarters, told The Daily Star.

He said DIG Nazibur Rahman has been given the charge of the Counter Terrorism Unit at the HQ.

Nazibur was earlier posted at the Bangladesh high commission in New Delhi.
