President Abdul Hamid has confirmed the service of 10 additional High Court judges, who were appointed two years ago.

A law ministry press release said the president regularised the appointment of the judges in consultation with the chief justice as per the constitution of republic.

The ministry Sunday issued a gazette notification to this effect, the press release said, adding that the confirmation will be effective from the date of taking oath by the judges.

The 10 judges are Justice SH Md Nurul Huda Jaigirdar, Justice KM Kamrul Kader, Justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah, Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam, Justice Mohammad Ullah, Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar, Justice AKM Shahidul Huq, Justice Shahidul Karim, Justice Md Jahangir Hossain and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman.

Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain last week has recommended that the president confirm their service.

In October 2011, late president Zillur Rahman appointed them as additional judges to the High Court Division for two years.
