Notre Dame leads list with highest GPA holders


Nine colleges in the capital are among the top 10 GPA-5 achieving institutions in the country in the HSC examinations this year.
Notre Dame College topped the list of GPA-5 achievers with 1,207 students securing the feat followed by Dhaka City College with 934 and Viqarunnisa Noon College with 531.
The other institutions which came next to these three are New Government Degree College, Rajshahi, with 441 students getting GPA-5, and Dhaka Commerce College 409, Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Rifles Public School and College 409, Ideal School and College of Motijheel 393, Dhaka College 359, Holy Cross College 339 and Rajuk Uttara Model School and College 317-- all in the capital, Government AH College, Bogra 289, Cantonment College, Jessore, 256, Milestone College, Dhaka, 229 and Residential Model College, Dhaka, 217.
Under Rajshahi board this year, New Govt Degree College, Rajshahi, topped the list of GPA-5 achieving institutions with 441 students securing this grade followed by Govt AH College, Bogra, 289 and Bogra Cantonment Public School and College 175.
Chittagong College was at the top under Chittagong board with 313 GPA-5 scorers while Govt Haji Muhammad Mohsin College came next to it with 312 followed by Govt Commerce College with 215.
Under Comilla board, Comilla Victoria Govt College topped the list with 158 students achieving GPA-5 followed by Ispahani Public School and College with 74 and Comilla Cadet College with 36.
The top three colleges under Barisal board are Amritalal Dey College with 133 GPA-5 scorers, Barisal Government Women's College 74 and Barisal Cadet College 39.
Under Jessore board, Cantonment College, Jessore, Govt MM City College, Khulna, and Govt Girls' College, Khulna, got the top three positions.
Sylhet MC College topped the list with 145 students securing GPA-5 while Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College, and Sylhet Govt Womens' College followed it with 63 and 61 respectively.
Under Dinajpur board, Cantonment Public School and College, Rangpur, was at the top with 182 GPA-5 scorers, followed by Rangpur Govt College with 148 and Dinajpur Govt College with 129.
