Students and teachers of the department of Development Studies at Dhaka University yesterday urged all not to paste posters on the Aparajeyo Bangla to protect its dignity, says a press release.
They also called on all not to throw rubbish at the altar of the sculpture as it reflects the national unity and it is part of the glorious history of the country.
They made the call while conducting a cleanliness drive at its altar.
Students of the department started the drive at around 9.30am. Chairman of the department Dr Taibur Rahman and two teachers of the department took part in the drive.
