Prof Syed Mizanur Rahman and Prof Md Enamul Haque were elected president and secretary general of the executive council of Bangladesh Society of Radiology and Imaging (BSRI) for the term 2009-10, says a press release.
They were elected at the annual general meeting of the body held recently.
Other officer-bearers are: vice-presidents -- Prof Ahmed Hossain, Prof Akhter Uddin Ahmed, and Prof Mahbubur Rahman; treasurer -- Prof Abdul Nasir Uddin Miah; joint general secretary -- Dr Md Mizanur Rahman; organising secretary -- Dr Shahriar Nobi; science affairs secretary -- Dr AHM Abdul Fattah; office secretary -- Dr Noman Chowdhury; and international affairs secretary -- Dr Saleh Uddin Al-Azad.
Members of the council are Prof Abdul Kuddus, Brig Gen (retd) Dr Jahangir Alam, Prof Md Mohammad Ali Sarker, Dr Abu Yusuf Miah, Dr Sham Sundor Kundu, Dr Sultan Uddin Ahmed, Dr Sarwar Ramij, Dr Subash Majumder and Dr Shamim Ahmed.
Prof Md Rezaul Mostafa was selected Radiologists of the Year 2008 at the meeting.
