Khulna BNP has declared former whip Ashraf Hossain 'unwanted' in the city.
Ashraf, who was expelled from BNP by chairperson Khaleda Zia last year, will be resisted in Khulna City if he goes in connection with political activities of any party, speakers said at a rally held at Khalishpur BNP office at 1:30pm yesterday.
Abdul Malek, convenor of Khalishpur thana committee of BNP, presided over the rally.
They termed Ashraf as 'a political blackmailer' and cause of all 'evil design' that divided Khulna BNP into two factions.
Being a 'non-local', Ashraf Hossain as lawmaker from Khulna-3 constituency failed to work for development of mills and industries at Khalishpur and Atra industrial belts, speakers said.
Among others, Nizamur Rahman Lalu, Nighat Shima, Selim Talukder, Sakhawat Hossain, Yusuf Shikder and Abu Taleb addressed the rally.
