Abdul Ali Lalu passes away
Noted comedian AFM Abdul Ali Lalu, popularly known as Lalu Bhai, passed away due to old age complications at his residence at Brahmapalli in the town yesterday at the age of 90.
He had been suffering from various diseases for long.
He left behind his wife, six sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He was laid to rest at Bhatikeshar graveyard after namaz-e-janaza at the ground of local Jamia Islamia.
Lalu Bhai, also a popular artiste of BTV and Bangladesh Betar, is famous for his popular dialogue "Kainchain Dehi".
Lalu Bhai first appeared in the silver screen through " Surjo Snann" in 1962. He acted in more than 100 films. He also worked with Abdul Jabber Khan in "Mukh O Mukhush", the first Bengali film.
Some of his films are Ka Kha Ga Gha Uma,Surjo Snann, Sonali Akash,Dui Diganta, Raja Elo Shahore, Sat Rang, Nabab Siraj-ud-Daula, Chena Ochena, Abanchita, Dharapat,, Protikar, Badhu Bidhay, Nach Ghar, Janajani, Matir Pahar, Akhane Akash Neel, Katha Dilam, Abirbhab, Lal Memshaheb, Achena Athithi and Meher Banu and Lady Inspector.
