Sonali Otit Club has introduced an award for the football referees from this year named after late star footballer Monwar Hossain Nannu.
Two best football referees of the B.League (Professional League) will get the “Monwar Hossain Nannu award” from this season.
Family members of late national defender Nannu has sponsored the award valued
Tk 50,000 and a medal.
Nannu's wife Shahana Hossain and younger brother national booter Shamsul Alam Manju today (Saturday) handed over Tk 50,000 to the Sonali Otit Club for this year's award.
“From the next year, the award will be given to the referees considering their performance throughout year, said Sonali Otit Club President Bashir Ahmed while addressing a press conference at the club premises yesterday.
