A campaign began here yesterday to select the Sundarbans and Cox's Bazar sea beach among seven natural wonders of the world.
Satkhira Film Society started the campaign asking people to cast their votes through internet in favour of the Sundarbans and Cox's Bazar beach.
The campaign started at the lawyers' association auditorium here.
Association president Principal Asit Kumar Majumdar chaired the occasion while it was attended by Satkhira district and sessions judge Ashish Ranjan Das as chief guest and Satkhira superintendent of police (SP) Mirza Abdullahel Baki as special guest.
Speakers said names of the Sundarbans and Cox's Bazar beach were deleted from the list of natural wonders of the world due to lack of official support.
