Indian officers visit Foreign Service Academy
A 20-member team of Indian Foreign Service probationer officers yesterday visited the Bangladesh Foreign Service Academy.
The Indian officers, led by Indian Foreign Service Institute Joint Secretary RR Dash, exchanged views with Principal Ambassador Shahed Akhtar and learned about various ongoing programmes of the Academy, said a handout.
The principal gave an overview of Bangladesh-India relations laying emphasis on promoting the existing bilateral friendly relations in different fields between the two neighbouring countries.
RR Dash said India gives importance to its relationship with Bangladesh and this is why the Indian Foreign Service officers are visiting the country as the first destination of their training programme abroad.
He also offered training courses for Bangladesh Foreign Service officers at their institute.
