A feast of TV shows on Eid-ul-Azha


On Eid, it's time to unwind in front of the small screen. All the Bangladeshi channels are offering a surfeit of entertainment ranging from special TV plays, tele-films, musical performances to variety shows. Whatever the medium, there's likely to be something for everyone. A rundown of the Eid-special programmes on different channels:


ATN Bangla
Tele-film “Shiulimoni”
Tele-film “Shiulimoni” will be aired on ATN Bangla on the second day of Eid at 10:30 am. Written by Rokeya Islam, the tele-film has been directed by Sadek Siddiqui. The cast includes Nipun, Emon, Sagor, Shahnur, Maruf Ahmed, Miju Ahmed, Rina Khan and others.
The plot: Shiuli is a poor village girl. But she is talented, creative and a good singer as well. She studies at a local college. Her brother is a day labourer, who is the only earning person of the family. Jamil, who is from the same village, loves Shiuli. Predictably, Jamil's father does not approve of the relationship. At one point, Jamil and Shiuli leave the village for Dhaka and take refuge at a distant relative's home.
TV Play “Ja Ghotey Ta Satyo Noy”
Single-episode TV play, “Ja Ghotey Ta Satyo Noy”, will be aired on ATN Bangla on Eid day at 11 pm. Written by Fazlul Karim, the play has been directed by Chandan Chowdhury. The cast of the play includes Mir Sabbir, Mimo, Babul Ahmed, Jinia and others.
The plot: Kamran and Malika are neighbours. Kamran is a classical musician and Malika is a dancer. The two artistes dislike each other though. Kamran has a nephew and Malika has a niece living with them. The two young people are in love with each other but have to hide their relationship from their guardians. However, the youngsters come up with a scheme that finally manages to break the tension between the seniors.
Musical Performance by Ayub Bachchu
Musical programme “AB the King” will be aired on Eid day at 12:45 am. Anchored by Rumana Malik Munmun, the show has been directed by Queen Rahman. The programme will feature eight songs by popular Rock musician Ayub Bachchu.

Channel i
TV play “Alauddin-er Phashi”
Single-episode TV play “Alauddin-er Phashi” will be aired at 7:50 pm on the day of Eid-ul-Azha on Channel i. An adaptation of a Humayun Ahmed story, “Alauddin-er Phashi” has been written and directed by Jewel Rana.
The plot of the play circles a kidnap. Alauddin kidnapped a baby and demanded Taka 20 lakh as ransom. After having a disagreement with the baby's parents about the ransom, Alauddin puts the baby in a sack and throws it into the water. Eventually, police arrests Alauddin. After trial, Alauddin is supposed to be hanged. Watch the play to find out what happens in the end.
Jayanto Chattopadhyay, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Richi Solaiman, Masud Akhand and others donned different roles in the play.
World Premiere of “Laltip”
The world premiere of the big budget Bangladeshi film “Laltip” will be held on Channel i at 11:10 am on the second day of Eid. Produced by Impress Tele-film Limited, Swapan Ahmed has written and directed the film.
The story of “Laltip” revolves around a Bengali girl who has grown up in Paris. Like many other expatriates, she is torn between her Bengali and French cultural identities. This diaspora dilemma is depicted through a love story in the film.
Apart from Kusum Shikdar and Emon, the cast of the film includes ATM Shamsuzzaman, Shohel Khan, Shahidul Islam Sachchu, Mishu Sabbir, Konal and Mithila (from Bangladesh); Anna Levis, Natali Fancesci, Daniel Karmer, Numia Jebi, Javier and Deborah Newman (from France and USA). The film has been shot in France, Thailand, India and Bangladesh.
Academy award winning French music composer Maurice Jarre did the music for the film. Talented Bangladeshi singers-composers Fuad, Ibrar Tipu, Ali Akbar Rupu and Arfin Rumey have also composed music for the film.
Latoya Jackson, sister of legendary pop singer Michael Jackson, has done playback for the film. Popular Bangladeshi singers -- Kona, Nancy, Porshi, Tapash, Kazi Shubho, Upal, Arfin Rumey, Ibrar Tipu, Fuad, James and Syed Abdul Hadi -- are the other playback singers.
Tele-film “Rong Berong”
Tele-film “Rong Berong” will be aired at 4:05pm on the third day of Eid. Written by Rumman Rashid Khan, the tele-film has been directed by Kaushik Shankar Das.
The tele-film revolves around a love story that goes through joys and sorrows of life. Purnima and Apurba have donned lead roles in the tele-film.

Special Drama Serial “U La La 69”
ETV is airing a six-episode drama serial titled “U La La 69”. The series begins on Eid day at 6:30 pm and will continue till the sixth day of Eid, at the same time every day. Written and directed by Shahriar Nazim Joy, the cast features Dr Azaz, Sohel Khan, Siddikur Rahman, Faruk Ahmed, Shadhin Khasru, Farah Ruma, Eva, Shamim and others.
The plot: The story revolves around the lives of three sisters. They live at their brother-in law's house in a mufassil area. The brother-in law is a widower. There are two powerful men in the area and they have two lackeys. Both the sycophants and their bosses have fallen in love with the sisters. On the other hand, the house tutors of the girls are also in the competition to win the hearts of the sisters.
Phone-Live Studio Concert
Special episodes of “Phone Live Studio Concert” will be aired for six consecutive days, starting from Eid day, at 12:10am. The six-day programme will highlight popular and promising singers. On the first day, Alam Ara Minu, Nirjhar, Apurba Kumar Apu will perform on the show. The musical programme has been directed by Kamruzzaman Ranju and Masuda Shormi is the anchor of the programme.
Variety Show “Fun and Games”
Variety show “Fun and Games” will be aired on second day of Eid at 7:30 pm. The programme features music, dance and discussion with TV presenters and newscasters. The show has been directed by Maria.

Mini series “Shukh-taan”
A six-episode mini series “Shukh-taan” will be aired, starting from Eid day, everyday at 6:45 pm. Written and directed by Masud Sezan, the play includes Mosharraf Karim, Monalisa, AKM Hasan, Shamima Naznin, Rifat Chowdhury, Sazzad Reza and Robena Reza as cast.
The story circles around a mediocre individual Hasan. One day Hasan's childhood friend Tareq shows up with a new car. Hasan feels jealous. At his office, Hasan comes to know that a peon is about to buy a flat, while Hasan is incapable of doing so. Hasan feels distressed. While he puts up a smiling face in front of the peon, he realises the reality. Now Hasan shows desperation to buy a flat and a car.
Single-episode Play “House Husband”
Single-episode play “House Husband” will be aired on second day of Eid at 8:15 pm. Written by Maruf Rahman, the play has been directed by actor-director Mahfuz Ahmed.
The story narrates a family incident. Tanvir chooses to stay at home, when his wife Mouli goes to office. At home, he usually takes care of their only son. Neighbours find something fishy in Tanvir's behaviour. Ishika, who lost her only child, comes to see Tanvir's son. Neighbours make indecent stories regarding this. Tanvir and Mouli start having issues regarding these rumours and eventually the husband leaves home. The cast features Nobel along with Richi, Faria, Rakhi, Mirana Zaman and Pidim.
Musical Programme “Panchanker Gaanshala”
A series of musical programmes featuring popular and upcoming singers will be aired from the second day till sixth day of Eid, each day at 5:30pm. Produced by Jahangir Chowdhury and hosted by noted singer Shakila Zafar, the show will focus on concept-based performances each day.
Singers to appear in the series include Parvez, Nirjhar and Kishor (first episode); Kiran Chandra Roy, Chandana Majumdar and Selim Chowdhury (second episode); Fatema-tuz-Zohra, Sadi Mohammad and Anima Roy (third episode); Kanak Chapa, Shammi Aktar and Monir Khan (fourth episode); and Subir Nandi, Rafiqul Alam and Anupama Mukti (fifth and final episode).
“Model and Fashion”
Fashion-based show “Model and Fashion” will be aired on the third day at 8:15 pm. Produced by Wahidul Islam, the show will be hosed by Immi. Models such as Mashiat, Rakhi, Tanmoy, Akhi and Ruma will appear as guests on the show.

Banglavision
Mini Series “Arman Bhai Honeymoon-e”
Starting from the first day of Eid, a six-episode mini-series “Arman Bhai Honeymoon-e” will be aired each day at 6:15pm. Written and directed by Sagar Jahan, the series features Zahid Hasan, Tisha, Sharika and Arfan as leading actors.
The humorous story follows Arman Bhai, who is popular among neighbours. Several years after his wedding, Arman Bhai realises that he missed honeymoon. He arranges a trip to Cox's Bazar along with his wife and some of his followers.
Single-episode Play “Project Traffic Jam”
Single-episode play “Project Traffic Jam” will be aired on second day of Eid at 11:55 pm. Written by Ahsan Habib, the play has been directed by Jewel Rana.
The story of the play circles around an individual who recently comes back home after completing higher studies abroad. Returning home, he starts a project to ease the traffic congestion of the city. To do so, he has to face many obstacles.
The cast includes Riaz along with Sohana Saba, Shadhin Khasru, Rahmat Ali, Munmun Ahmed and singer Sujit Mostafa.
Entertainment Show “Torey Tokka”
Featuring celebrities from different sectors, entertainment show “Torey Tokka” will be aired on the third day at 5:15pm.
Celebrities to appear on the show include Kona, Mehjabin, Shoma, Nisha, Mouri, Selim, Nirob, RJ Nirob, Maznun Mizan, Shahriar Shuvo, Nasim, Arif and Ratul. They will take part in different funny games into two groups. Nirob and RJ Nirob will lead the groups.
The show has been produced jointly by Ferdous Bappi and Nahid Ahmed.

Mini Series “Patalpurir Galpo”
A seven-episode mini series “Patalpurir Galpo” will be aired from the first day, everyday at 8:20pm. Written by Brindaban Das, the series has been directed by Abdullah Rana. The TV series includes Ahmed Rubel, Maya Ghosh, Shahriar Shubho, Brindaban Das, Chanchal Chowdhury, Orsha, Shahnaz and others as cast.
The story follows a group of belligerent people who keep themselves busy in fighting for crops during the harvest time. A sect of influential people exploits and instigates the poor and gullible against each other, to take the agricultural land.
Single-episode Play “Chor Gelo Bhut Elo”
Single-episode play “Chor Gelo Bhut Elo” will be aired on second day at 9:30 pm. Written by Litu Sakhawat, the play has been directed by Shahiduzzaman Selim.
The story of the play follows a mid-aged Mizan who lives with his mother, wife and a 10-year boy on the first floor of a building. Mizan's wife doesn't like the flat because Mizan's mobile phone was stolen from their home. The wife and mother decide to convince Mizan that there's a ghost in their flat. Not getting scared, Mizan rather brings an ojha to make the ghost leave.
Actor-director Shahiduzzaman Selim along with Ishita and Sharmili Ahmed play the lead roles.
Musical Show “Sonali Din Rupali Gaan”
A series of live musical programme titled “Sonali Din Rupali Gaan”, featuring established and promising singers will be aired from the first day till sixth day, each day at 3 pm. Produced by Sumon Saha, Sumona Siddiqui, Farida Lima, Mono Alam, Walid Hasan and Al Hubayer Uchchhal, the musical show will zoom in on adhunik songs (from 1950 till date).
Singers to appear in the series include Sharmin Sathi Islam and Fahim Hossain (first day); Rumana Islam and Badsha Bulbul (second day); Alam Ara Minu and Palash (third day); Sabbir and Ronti Das (fourth day); Ankhi Alamgir and Atik Hasan (fifth day) and Konal and Rafsan (sixth and final day)
Arnik will host the first three days while Kuhu will emcee the last the days of the programme.

James on “Studio Concert Club Asia”
Nagar Baul frontman James will rock his fans on a live musical programme titled “Studio Concert Club Asia”. The musical show will be aired at 11:45 pm on the day of Eid-ul-Azha. Shahariar Islam has produced the programme.
Tele-film “Ranna O Kanna”
Tele-film “Ranna O Kanna” will be aired at 2:10 pm on the second day of Eid. Written by Golam Rabbani, the tele-film has been directed by Noim Imtiaz Neyamul.
The plot of the tele-film focuses on a person's life tangled, inclined and governed by the act of cooking. Bindu, Jitu Ahsan, Tusti and others have played different roles in the tele-film.
Single-episode Play “Kajol-er Ontordhan ”
Single-episode play “Kajol-er Ontordhan” will be aired on the third day at 9:20 pm. Written by noted lyricist Kabir Bakul, the play has been directed by Nuzhat Alvi Ahmed.
The story of the play revolves around a crazy fan who commits suicide for his favourite actress. The TV play aims to trace the causes of the suicide. Actress Moushumi, Sajal, Tuhin, Zahid and others play the lead roles.

Mini Series “Bati Chalan”
A six-episode mini series “Bati Chalan” will be aired from the first day, everyday at 7:30pm. Written and directed by Palash Mahbub and Hasan Morshed, the play includes Zakia Bari Momo, Faruk Ahmed, MM Morshed, Amirul Haque Chowdhury and others as cast.
The story circles around a popular wacky practice known as, “Bati Chalan”, to locate a lost diamond ring. Following various humorous incidents, at last the ring is found, though not with the help of “Bati Chalan”.

Single-episode play “Kuasha Chador” will be aired on second day at 8:40 pm. Written by Rawnak Hasan, the play has been directed by Chayanika Chowdhury.
The story focuses on a melancholic incident. After getting married, noted writer Rehan Mahmud goes to honeymoon in Nepal where his wife Joyee dies in a street accident. Wanting to stay close to his beloved wife, Rehan buys a bungalow in Nepal. Rehan's younger brother Shohan accompanies him. Ten years pass, and Rehan stays away from writing. Meanwhile, several Bangladeshi youngsters come to visit Nepal and coincidently they stay at Rehan's bungalow. He recalls his blissful past, observing the romance between the youngsters.

Yasmin's colourful life, achievements and many unheard stories will come forth through the show. Clips from concerts and events as well as videos of her songs will be aired on the show.
Produced by Ajay Poddar, the show will be hosted by noted singer Kanak Chapa.
Series of Live Concerts “Ranga Raat”
A five-episode live concert will be aired each night at 11:45 pm, starting from the first day. Titled “Ranga Raat”, the show will be open for the viewers to make calls and talk to the artistes.
Hosted by noted singer Shakila Zafar, the episodes will feature Subir Nandi, Khurshid Alam, Farida Parveen, Rafiqul Alam and Baseer Ahmed as guest singers.
Tele-film “Din-er Sheshey”
Tele-film “Din-er Sheshey” will be aired on the second day at 3 pm. Written by Shahana Sumi, the film has been directed by Matia Banu Shuku.
The story follows a well reputed artist. Famed artist Nabanita Chowdhury prefers to lead a lonesome life away from locality. She stopped painting; however meeting with young schoolteacher Rashed inspires her again to take up the brush.
Suborna Mostafa, Majnun Mizan, Kalyan, Sushama Sarkar and Iqbal enact different roles in the play.

Diganta Television
“The Brotherhood Project”
Featuring young singers Parvez Sajjad and Joy Shahriar, a musical programme “The Brotherhood Project” will be aired on the Eid day at 5:40 pm. The programme has been produced by Enamul Karim.
Both the singers have already created a space in the musical arena with some well-composed songs. Together, they formed a band called “The Brotherhood Project”. Apart from songs, the show will focus on activities and background of the band. The artistes will also sing some popular songs from yesteryears.
Subir Nandi on “Phon O Live”
Veteran singer Subir Nandi will appear as guest on the live musical programme to be aired on the third day at 11:15 pm.
Nandi will sing several of his popular songs. Audience will be able to call him to request for favourite numbers as well as to share Eid experiences.

Musical Programme “Banglar Jari Gaan”
As a part of the Eid special programmes, Channel 9 is airing a four-episode folk music programme titled “Banglar Jari Gaan”. The programme begins on Eid day at 4:50 pm and will continue till October 30 at the same time every day.
Produced by Ruhul Tapas, the programme will feature musical performances by folk singers Rawshan Ali Boyati, Nasima Akhter and their troupes. They will perform different genres of folk songs. Apart from performing songs, the artistes will also talk about their lives and works on the programme.
Celebrity Adda “Shawpnobaaj”
Channel 9 will air a celebrity talk show titled “Shawpnobaaj” on the second day of Eid at 6 pm. Participating celebrities are filmmaker Mostafa Sarwar Farooki; writer Anisul Hoque; cricketers Atahar Ali Khan, Akram Khan; singer Asif Akbar and TV actress Munmun. The programme has been directed by Ashik Ibrahim.

Puppet Show “Tultul”
Produced by Mehedi Hasan, a puppet show for children, “Tultul” will be aired on Eid morning, at 8:35 am.
The story zooms in on Tultul, who is a fairy. She is the princess of the fairyland. For whatever reason, Tultul gets banished from the fairyland and is told that if she can accomplish 9 magnanimous acts for humans, she can come back home. Tultul starts her mission, completes 8 acts, and has a change of heart -- she now doesn't want to go back to fairyland. The five-episode show will be aired everyday on the same time.
Mini Series “Chhele Dhorar Kol”
Written by Pantho Shahriar and directed by Shokal Ahmed, the five-episode play “Chhele Dhorar Kol” will start airing from the first day of Eid (every night at 8:45 pm). The mini series features Abul Hayat, Mosharraf Karim, Jennie and Wahida Mollick Jolly in lead roles.
The story follows Abul Fazal and his spoiled brat of a son, 10-year-old Boltu. Neighbours are constantly irritated by Boltu's non-stop shenanigans and they have complained to Fazal many times with no luck. A frustrated Fazal one day comes across a strange ad in the newspapers -- an individual offering his services in straightening up naughty young boys. What happens next?

The story circles around a mediocre individual Hasan. One day Hasan's childhood friend Tareq shows up with a new car. Hasan feels jealous. At his office, Hasan comes to know that a peon is about to buy a flat, while Hasan is incapable of doing so. Hasan feels distressed. While he puts up a smiling face in front of the peon, he realises the reality. Now Hasan shows desperation to buy a flat and a car.
Single-episode Play “House Husband”
Single-episode play “House Husband” will be aired on second day of Eid at 8:15 pm. Written by Maruf Rahman, the play has been directed by actor-director Mahfuz Ahmed.
The story narrates a family incident. Tanvir chooses to stay at home, when his wife Mouli goes to office. At home, he usually takes care of their only son. Neighbours find something fishy in Tanvir's behaviour. Ishika, who lost her only child, comes to see Tanvir's son. Neighbours make indecent stories regarding this. Tanvir and Mouli start having issues regarding these rumours and eventually the husband leaves home. The cast features Nobel along with Richi, Faria, Rakhi, Mirana Zaman and Pidim.
Musical Programme “Panchanker Gaanshala”
A series of musical programmes featuring popular and upcoming singers will be aired from the second day till sixth day of Eid, each day at 5:30pm. Produced by Jahangir Chowdhury and hosted by noted singer Shakila Zafar, the show will focus on concept-based performances each day.
Singers to appear in the series include Parvez, Nirjhar and Kishor (first episode); Kiran Chandra Roy, Chandana Majumdar and Selim Chowdhury (second episode); Fatema-tuz-Zohra, Sadi Mohammad and Anima Roy (third episode); Kanak Chapa, Shammi Aktar and Monir Khan (fourth episode); and Subir Nandi, Rafiqul Alam and Anupama Mukti (fifth and final episode).

Fashion-based show “Model and Fashion” will be aired on the third day at 8:15 pm. Produced by Wahidul Islam, the show will be hosed by Immi. Models such as Mashiat, Rakhi, Tanmoy, Akhi and Ruma will appear as guests on the show.

Mini Series “Arman Bhai Honeymoon-e”
Starting from the first day of Eid, a six-episode mini-series “Arman Bhai Honeymoon-e” will be aired each day at 6:15pm. Written and directed by Sagar Jahan, the series features Zahid Hasan, Tisha, Sharika and Arfan as leading actors.
The humorous story follows Arman Bhai, who is popular among neighbours. Several years after his wedding, Arman Bhai realises that he missed honeymoon. He arranges a trip to Cox's Bazar along with his wife and some of his followers.
Single-episode Play “Project Traffic Jam”
Single-episode play “Project Traffic Jam” will be aired on second day of Eid at 11:55 pm. Written by Ahsan Habib, the play has been directed by Jewel Rana.
The story of the play circles around an individual who recently comes back home after completing higher studies abroad. Returning home, he starts a project to ease the traffic congestion of the city. To do so, he has to face many obstacles.
The cast includes Riaz along with Sohana Saba, Shadhin Khasru, Rahmat Ali, Munmun Ahmed and singer Sujit Mostafa.
Entertainment Show “Torey Tokka”
Featuring celebrities from different sectors, entertainment show “Torey Tokka” will be aired on the third day at 5:15pm.
Celebrities to appear on the show include Kona, Mehjabin, Shoma, Nisha, Mouri, Selim, Nirob, RJ Nirob, Maznun Mizan, Shahriar Shuvo, Nasim, Arif and Ratul. They will take part in different funny games into two groups. Nirob and RJ Nirob will lead the groups.
The show has been produced jointly by Ferdous Bappi and Nahid Ahmed.

A seven-episode mini series “Patalpurir Galpo” will be aired from the first day, everyday at 8:20pm. Written by Brindaban Das, the series has been directed by Abdullah Rana. The TV series includes Ahmed Rubel, Maya Ghosh, Shahriar Shubho, Brindaban Das, Chanchal Chowdhury, Orsha, Shahnaz and others as cast.
The story follows a group of belligerent people who keep themselves busy in fighting for crops during the harvest time. A sect of influential people exploits and instigates the poor and gullible against each other, to take the agricultural land.
Single-episode Play “Chor Gelo Bhut Elo”
Single-episode play “Chor Gelo Bhut Elo” will be aired on second day at 9:30 pm. Written by Litu Sakhawat, the play has been directed by Shahiduzzaman Selim.
The story of the play follows a mid-aged Mizan who lives with his mother, wife and a 10-year boy on the first floor of a building. Mizan's wife doesn't like the flat because Mizan's mobile phone was stolen from their home. The wife and mother decide to convince Mizan that there's a ghost in their flat. Not getting scared, Mizan rather brings an ojha to make the ghost leave.
Actor-director Shahiduzzaman Selim along with Ishita and Sharmili Ahmed play the lead roles.
Musical Show “Sonali Din Rupali Gaan”
A series of live musical programme titled “Sonali Din Rupali Gaan”, featuring established and promising singers will be aired from the first day till sixth day, each day at 3 pm. Produced by Sumon Saha, Sumona Siddiqui, Farida Lima, Mono Alam, Walid Hasan and Al Hubayer Uchchhal, the musical show will zoom in on adhunik songs (from 1950 till date).
Singers to appear in the series include Sharmin Sathi Islam and Fahim Hossain (first day); Rumana Islam and Badsha Bulbul (second day); Alam Ara Minu and Palash (third day); Sabbir and Ronti Das (fourth day); Ankhi Alamgir and Atik Hasan (fifth day) and Konal and Rafsan (sixth and final day)

The plot of the tele-film focuses on a person's life tangled, inclined and governed by the act of cooking. Bindu, Jitu Ahsan, Tusti and others have played different roles in the tele-film.

Single-episode play “Kajol-er Ontordhan” will be aired on the third day at 9:20 pm. Written by noted lyricist Kabir Bakul, the play has been directed by Nuzhat Alvi Ahmed.
The story of the play revolves around a crazy fan who commits suicide for his favourite actress. The TV play aims to trace the causes of the suicide. Actress Moushumi, Sajal, Tuhin, Zahid and others play the lead roles.

Single-episode play “Kuasha Chador” will be aired on second day at 8:40 pm. Written by Rawnak Hasan, the play has been directed by Chayanika Chowdhury.
The story focuses on a melancholic incident. After getting married, noted writer Rehan Mahmud goes to honeymoon in Nepal where his wife Joyee dies in a street accident. Wanting to stay close to his beloved wife, Rehan buys a bungalow in Nepal. Rehan's younger brother Shohan accompanies him. Ten years pass, and Rehan stays away from writing. Meanwhile, several Bangladeshi youngsters come to visit Nepal and coincidently they stay at Rehan's bungalow. He recalls his blissful past, observing the romance between the youngsters.
Popular actor-director Mahfuz Ahmed along with Romana, Rawnak, Farah Ruma and Arefin Shubho play the lead roles.

Series of Live Concerts “Ranga Raat”
A five-episode live concert will be aired each night at 11:45 pm, starting from the first day. Titled “Ranga Raat”, the show will be open for the viewers to make calls and talk to the artistes.
Hosted by noted singer Shakila Zafar, the episodes will feature Subir Nandi, Khurshid Alam, Farida Parveen, Rafiqul Alam and Baseer Ahmed as guest singers.
Tele-film “Din-er Sheshey”
Tele-film “Din-er Sheshey” will be aired on the second day at 3 pm. Written by Shahana Sumi, the film has been directed by Matia Banu Shuku.
The story follows a well reputed artist. Famed artist Nabanita Chowdhury prefers to lead a lonesome life away from locality. She stopped painting; however meeting with young schoolteacher Rashed inspires her again to take up the brush.
Suborna Mostafa, Majnun Mizan, Kalyan, Sushama Sarkar and Iqbal enact different roles in the play.

“The Brotherhood Project”
Featuring young singers Parvez Sajjad and Joy Shahriar, a musical programme “The Brotherhood Project” will be aired on the Eid day at 5:40 pm. The programme has been produced by Enamul Karim.
Both the singers have already created a space in the musical arena with some well-composed songs. Together, they formed a band called “The Brotherhood Project”. Apart from songs, the show will focus on activities and background of the band. The artistes will also sing some popular songs from yesteryears.
Subir Nandi on “Phon O Live”
Veteran singer Subir Nandi will appear as guest on the live musical programme to be aired on the third day at 11:15 pm.
Nandi will sing several of his popular songs. Audience will be able to call him to request for favourite numbers as well as to share Eid experiences.

Musical Programme “Banglar Jari Gaan”
As a part of the Eid special programmes, Channel 9 is airing a four-episode folk music programme titled “Banglar Jari Gaan”. The programme begins on Eid day at 4:50 pm and will continue till October 30 at the same time every day.
Produced by Ruhul Tapas, the programme will feature musical performances by folk singers Rawshan Ali Boyati, Nasima Akhter and their troupes. They will perform different genres of folk songs. Apart from performing songs, the artistes will also talk about their lives and works on the programme.
Celebrity Adda “Shawpnobaaj”
Channel 9 will air a celebrity talk show titled “Shawpnobaaj” on the second day of Eid at 6 pm. Participating celebrities are filmmaker Mostafa Sarwar Farooki; writer Anisul Hoque; cricketers Atahar Ali Khan, Akram Khan; singer Asif Akbar and TV actress Munmun. The programme has been directed by Ashik Ibrahim.

Channel 24
Puppet Show “Tultul”
Produced by Mehedi Hasan, a puppet show for children, “Tultul” will be aired on Eid morning, at 8:35 am.
The story zooms in on Tultul, who is a fairy. She is the princess of the fairyland. For whatever reason, Tultul gets banished from the fairyland and is told that if she can accomplish 9 magnanimous acts for humans, she can come back home. Tultul starts her mission, completes 8 acts, and has a change of heart -- she now doesn't want to go back to fairyland. The five-episode show will be aired everyday on the same time.
Mini Series “Chhele Dhorar Kol”
Written by Pantho Shahriar and directed by Shokal Ahmed, the five-episode play “Chhele Dhorar Kol” will start airing from the first day of Eid (every night at 8:45 pm). The mini series features Abul Hayat, Mosharraf Karim, Jennie and Wahida Mollick Jolly in lead roles.
The story follows Abul Fazal and his spoiled brat of a son, 10-year-old Boltu. Neighbours are constantly irritated by Boltu's non-stop shenanigans and they have complained to Fazal many times with no luck. A frustrated Fazal one day comes across a strange ad in the newspapers -- an individual offering his services in straightening up naughty young boys. What happens next?
