DBL Group has recently signed an agreement with IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd to implement Oracle e-business suite ERP in their 19 business units.
The deployment is expected to standardise business processes, establish proper decision support, and control and monitoring mechanisms, according to a statement of DBL Group yesterday.
“This implementation will enable us to realise better business benefits, simultaneously aiding in better operational control, and facilitating best practices in processes independent of people and technology,” said MA Rahim, director of DBL Group.
Rahim said he expects the suite will ensure seamless integration of various operating departments.
DBL Group started its journey in 1991 as Dulal Brothers Ltd, a garment factory. It has now grown into a manufacturing company in Bangladesh with a workforce of about 12,000.
The group has state-of-the-art apparel manufacturing facilities with backward linkage industries of yarn spinning, fabric knitting-dyeing-finishing, printing and packaging. It also supplies apparels to different retailers across the world.
DBL's home textiles, ceramics, pharmaceuticals and leather industry are expected to go into operation in the next two years.
IBCS-PRIMAX is a CMMI Level 3 and ISO 9001:2008 certified company and the first authorised reseller of Oracle in the country.
