Korea to train 15 CID officers

Korea will provide training to 15 officials of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police on cyber crime investigation with the aim of helping them develop the scientific investigation technique.
The CID officials will be attending the training at Korea Police Investigation Academy of South Korea from November 24 to December 10 at the invitation of Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica), said a press release.
The programme's main objective is to provide the participants an opportunity to share the experiences of Korean National Police that will help the latter to understand the scientific investigation method.
It will also strengthen the relationship between Korean and Bangladeshi police enhancing their mutual cooperation against national and international crimes.
The training will include sessions on cyber crime investigation, searching techniques of digital saving devices, cases of digital evidence analysis, internet tracing and Korean law structure.
An orientation programme for the selected officials was held on Sunday at Korean Embassy in the city where Korean Ambassador Taiyoung Cho and Koica resident representative in Bangladesh Lee Jung Wook were present.
