Golam Faruk Ahmed

Golam Faruk Ahmed has recently been elected chairman of Peoples Insurance Company Ltd, the company said in a statement yesterday.
Ahmed is the honorary consul of Belgium in Bangladesh, the statement added. He is the sponsor director of Mercantile Bank, Popular Life Insurance Company Ltd and director of IDLC Finance Ltd.
The company's Board of Directors also elected MA Rashid as vice chairman. Rashid completed his graduation in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
