The newly formed Bangladesh Better Business Forum (BBBF) has named co-chairpersons and members for its five working groups to maintain institutional relations with private sector.
The thematic areas of five working groups are business finance, infrastructure, macro-economic policy, business entry and operation, and skill development.
Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor M Nazrul Huda and Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) President Latifur Rahman have been made co-chairpersons of the business finance working group.
Other co-chairpersons are Planning Commission member AMM Nasir Uddin and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Hossain Khaled for infrastructure group, Finance Secretary Dr Mohammad Tareq and Dhaka University Professor of economics Dr Mohammad Ali Taslim for macro-economic policy group, Commerce Secretary Feroz Ahmed and ICC-B President Mahbubur Rahman for business entry and operation group, and Education Secretary M Momtajul Islam and AKTEL Bangladesh Chairman Salauddin Kashem Khan for skill development group.
Executive Chairman of Board of Investment (BoI) and BBBF Member Secretary Mohammad Kamaluddin Ahmed announced the names at a press briefing at the PID conference room yesterday.
He said the 19th meeting of the BBBF would be held today at the chief adviser's office.
The government on November 25 formed the 38-member BBBF with the chief adviser as its chairperson and finance and planning adviser as the executive chairperson.
