Bangladesh Army trounced Bangladesh Navy 5-0 in the opening match of the Dhaka Bank Victory Day hockey tournament with Didar and Sirajul slamming a brace each.
Army led the first half 1-0 at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium with Didar breaking the deadlock after half hour.
Sirajul made it 2-0 early into the second half but what looked like a tight win at one stage turned big as the soldiers notched three goals in the last six minutes with Jamal, Didar and Sirajul finding the mark.
Dhaka Bank chairman Abdul Hai Sarker declared the meet open.
