Contouring is the name of the game

Bold matt lips and shimmer eyes are on the global runway scene this Fall/Winter 2016.
It goes hand-in-hand beautifully with our demands for the bridal season too. The conventional red and gold as traditional wedding colours are in no way a contradiction to this seasonal pick.
Shimmering gold eyelids set off beautifully with black kohl, perfect contouring for a chiseled look and matt red lips - cannot go wrong with that!
It is essential to wear as little product as possible as a base and concealer. If you have flaws use enough to conceal but not cake. Create a chiselled look by playing with dark and light shadows, as required. And use highlighter on places that light would catch naturally - forehead, nose, cheekbones, and chin. This is called 'strobing'. It will make the skin look dewy, glowing from within and healthy.
The choice for the foundation could be pancake, liquid, cream, or airbrush depending on your skin type, (oily, dry or combination) skin condition (level of coverage required), and skin tone (shade preference) depending on your personal choice. Highlighting products are available in cream, compact and loose powder. Shades vary from fair and rosy to warmer shades, for darker under tones.
New lipstick sensations are the liquid matt ranges available from almost all major brands. It is easy to apply and easier to shape the lips: if you want to add or reduce to the fullness. It sets into a matt finish, which is long-lasting and will see you through the evening. This will help reduce the pencilled look on the lip-lines, which is absolutely out of style at the moment. The down side of this product is, it often tends to become extremely dry, and the cheaper brands tend to peel after a few hours. Nevertheless, if a little lip balm is applied before application, the problem can be solved.
