Launch of Beximco Luxury Lawn Collection

With Eid being only a month away, the movers and shakers of the fashion industry have begun to work fervently to make the festival a memorable fashion experience for all. While imports of women's outfits from India and Pakistan are cherished, Bangladesh did not want to remain aloof in this arena. Intending to offer a collection of outfits that Bangladesh could call its own, Beximco, which is already renowned for its breakthrough initiatives in textiles, has launched the country's first ever Beximco Luxury Lawn collection in a bedazzling event at The Westin Dhaka on the 27 June, 2014.
To mark the occasion, a fashion show featuring local and international models, followed by a sale extravaganza, was organised. The venue wore a royal ambience as the cardinal-red lighting captivated the attention of enthusiastic spectators. The star-studded affair was hosted by Rumana Malik Munmun, while Syed Naved Husain, the CEO of Beximco Textiles, inaugurated the event. The models breezed through the ramp in vibrant-hued outfits depicting a unique “Futuristic Exhibition.”

Next, “The World of Drapes” was showcased, featuring semi-stitched and stitched outfits in innovative styles and drapes. The collection of “Silk with Digital Prints” saw the combination of floral, citrus, and pastel themes and hues. “100 per cent Chiffon line” was characterised by Lawn suits with contrasting chiffon dupatta. Finally, “The World of Imagination” let loose the creativity of the chief designers as the models flaunted a diverse mix of fabrics, embellishments, styles, and colours in the outfits. Soft vocal performances by talented group artistes set the right tone for this glitzy afternoon.
The fashion show wrapped up with a note of appreciation to the sponsors, partners, and masterminds of this electrifying launch. Husain provided insights into the conception of Yellow. Inspired by Van Gogh's paintings of the sunflower, Yellow came into being to represent “youth, globalisation, and travel”.
The Beximco Luxury Lawn collection has hit the Yellow outlets in Dhaka and Chittagong from the 28. It will eventually be made available in all outlets across the country. Additionally, the outfits will make their way into the Yellow retail stores at Dubai, Toronto, and New York City. By 2015, it is projected to be distributed through its own chain of stores spanning Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Middle East.
